CO2 based refrigeration systems have evolved to the point where they are being deployed successfully in a variety of temperature ranges from as low as -60 degrees F to as high as 40 degrees F. Multiple design styles are available including Cascade systems combining Ammonia and CO2 or HCFC and CO2 or in applications utilizing volatile liquid brine.
